SPORTS SPECIFIC TRAINING
A BIT ABOUT ME
Robbie Mesa, B.A. Health and Human Performance
Hi everyone! Thank you for taking the time to explore Legion Strength and Conditioning. Legion is a dream come true for my family and I. Early on in my life, I quickly realized I had a passion for everything sports related and training for my sports was at the top of my priority list. As my sports career progressed, I earned the opportunity to play two years of college football at Texas A & M Kingsville and went on to eventually earn my bachelors degree in Health and Human Performance Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Brownsville. After coaching secondary sports for the past seven years (strength coordinator, football offensive coordinator, head track coach, girls basketball coach, even a pole vault coach, you name it I've done it) my family and I decided to take a leap of faith and open a strength and conditioning facility in the Harlingen area. Yes I loved coaching, but my passion began in the weight room. Seeing the progress my athletes made in preparation for the big games is what brought me the most joy. My goal is to provide all athletes in our surrounding area a safe place to hone their skills, achieve their goals, and help them reach their full potential.

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

Coach Mesa’s workouts made me into a bigger, better, stronger, and faster athlete. It transformed me into someone more dangerous on the field and on the track.. My fastest 40 yard dash was 4.49 and my pro agility was 3.7. He also helped me run a personal record of 10.8 in the 100 meter dash, which got me into regionals as a qualifier in the 4x100, 4x200, and 100 meter dash. My weightroom maxes peaked at, bench 265, squat 370, power clean 265, my vertical was 32 inches. I received a full scholarship to the University of Campbellsville in Kentucky to play football and run track. Coach Mesa brings great energy every day to make sure the kids get the right help and the best workouts and techniques to become a GREAT athlete.
